Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy Services are available as in-person sessions in Perth and Carleton Place. Virtual sessions are available across Ontario.

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a way to help individuals, partners, families, children and youth with a broad range of mental and emotional wellness challenges. It can assist in eliminating or controlling unmanageable symptoms so an individual can increase their overall functioning and well-being.

Psychotherapy helps with the impact of trauma, medical illness, death, coping with the challenges associated with daily life; and specific mental health disorders, such as anxiety and depression.

Our Psychotherapy services can help not only alleviate symptoms, but also, certain types of psychotherapies can help identify the psychological root causes of one’s condition so a person can function better and have enhanced emotional and mental wellness.

During psychotherapy, you learn about your specific issues
and how your thoughts, emotions and behaviors affect your moods. Talk therapy helps you learn how to take control of your life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.

Which Service is Right For Me?

If you are wondering if psychotherapy is right for you, we feel it is right for everyone. Healing leads to decreased tension in the mind. A mind free from tension, grants us the freedom to fully engage in the life we seek.

It can be confusing to decide between counselling, psychotherapy, or coaching services, and our goal is
to break that down, making your choice a little less overwhelming. At Aruma, the only element
separating our counselling and psychotherapy services is professional registration and their regulating
bodies.
