ORCKA Stand-up Paddle Board Instructor

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.” – Albert Einstein

Lindsay contributes a breadth of knowledge related to program development, project management, and marketing, as well as her mathematical brain to the Aruma team. She spends her days maintaining the website, crunching the numbers, and performing the administrative procedures that help to keep the team operating smoothly. Lindsay loves to laugh and smile, and you won’t miss her when she lights up to welcome you as you walk through Aruma’s doors.

Lindsay holds a Masters of Science, is a long-standing part-time Professor at Algonquin College, has earned 3 different ORCKA canoe and SUP certificates, and is a licensed PADI scuba diver – just to name a few of her weird and wonderful qualifications. As a certified ORCKA Stand-up Paddle Board (SUP) Instructor, Lindsay invites you to join her for a paddle on the Clyde River during the summertime in one of our many SUP offerings.

Lindsay's work at Aruma brings balance and a sense of community to her life, allowing her to stay connected to her roots in Lanark County. It was her yoga practice that brought her to us for the first time, however she quickly felt a strong pull towards the sense of kinship and the potential to create lasting connections that Aruma provides, making the decision to become part of Aruma both easy and rewarding.

In her spare time, you can find Lindsay in a forest, on a lake, next to a bonfire, or on top of a mountain – usually with her golden retriever in tow.
